H.E.L.P. | High Engagement, Low Prep Activities to Keep Your Head Above Water (1 hour or 3 hour workshop)

One-Hour Session and Three-Hour Workshop Available

Every teacher needs a little H.E.L.P. - High Engagement, Low Prep activities to implement in any world language class! We’ll share student-tested activities for reading, writing, listening, and speaking, as well as games and technology tools your students will love. If an idea isn’t low-prep already, we’ll make it low-prep for you! You’ll leave this workshop with fresh ideas to engage your students, ease your work load, and inject some fun into your instruction! (With Shelby Cole, M.Ed., NBCT)

In The One-Hour Session Participants Will Learn :

• learn 3 low-prep activities for receptive language

• learn 3 low-prep activities for productive language

• learn 3 low-prep tech tools and games

Participants will try several of the activities during the session and will leave with a library of editable instructional resources.

In the Three-Hour Workshop, Participants Will Learn All of the Above PLUS:

• research behind repetition in class

• 4 additional low-prep activities for receptive language

• 4 additional low-prep activities for productive language

• 3 additional low-prep tech tools and games

• Time to plan, collaborate, and modify materials for classroom use

Participants will try several of the activities during the workshop and will leave with an even bigger library of editable instructional resources
